The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir as the head coach of the senior Indian men's team, BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

Gautam Gambhir's first assignment will be the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka starting July 27, which will feature 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.
