IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians (MI) cricket team has appointed former Indian fast bowler and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey as the bowling coach of their team.
Paras Mhambrey has previously played the role of assistant coach of Mumbai Indians. Mhambrey will work here with MI's current bowling coach Lasith Malinga and head coach Mahela Jayawardene.
Paras Mhambrey was India's bowling coach from 2021 to August 2024, he worked with Rahul Dravid and was part of the T20 World Cup winning team. He was also part of the MI setup in the Champions League 2011, 2013 and IPL 2013 titles.
Paras Mahambre also has coaching experience in Indian domestic cricket. Before India, he was the bowling coach of the India A team. He also played an important role in taking Bengal to consecutive Ranji Trophy finals in 2005-06 and 2006-07.
Mumbai Indians announced on Sunday, 13 October that former Sri Lankan captain Jayawardene will be their new head coach. The first task of this coaching staff will be to prepare MI's final retention list by 31 October 2024.
MI's performance in IPL 2024 was very poor, the team played under the leadership of Hardik and finished at the bottom of the table and won only four matches in 14 matches.
